Phonics
Hi, I'm Pip! Let's play with letters and sounds.
⭐ My stickers
For grown-ups
Made for ages 4–7 (pre-K to 1st grade). The games are numbered in the order children learn phonics, so start at 1 and follow the path; nothing is locked, so you can also jump to what your child is working on. Pip reads every question aloud, so turn the sound on. A miss never ends a round: your child tries again until they get it, and earns a ⭐ for each first-try answer. Every finished game gives a sticker.
- Letter Sounds: seven short lessons teach all 26 letters, four at a time, in the order most schools use (s a t p first, not a-b-c) so children can read real words like tap after lesson one. Letter Pop reviews all 26, and Big and Small matches capital letters to small ones.
- Sounds in Words: hearing the first and last sound of a word, rhymes, and syllables.
- Read Little Words: the vowel in the middle, blending sounds to read, spelling three-letter words, and swapping one sound to make a new word.
- Letter Teams: digraphs (sh, ch, th, wh, ck, ng, ph), twin letters (ll, ss, ff, zz), and blends at the start (fr, st, sn…) and end (nd, st, nk…) of words.
- Long Vowels and Tricky Letters: silent e; vowel teams (ai, ee, ea, oa, oo, igh, ou, ow, then ay, oy, oi, aw, ew, ue); r-controlled vowels (ar, or, er, ir, ur); and the two sounds of c and g and three sounds of y.
- Bigger Words and Reading: word endings (-s, -es, -ed, -ing), compound words, about 80 common sight words, then reading short questions on their own.
